An intense internal struggle is shaking the Office of the Inspector General of Taxes, Revenues, and Parafiscal Contributions (ITRC), the entity that oversees Dian, Coljuegos, and the UGPP. The conflict pits Director Eva Carolina Madrid against Secretary General José Alexis Mahecha, who could be dismissed in the coming hours. The origin of the controversy lies in the fact that Mahecha's son, Juan Felipe, works at Coljuegos and faces two disciplinary investigations at the ITRC. According to sources consulted by Caracol Radio, the father had allegedly been inquiring about these processes to favor his son.
