New Zealand has announced its support for removing Prince Andrew from the line of succession to the British throne, following a similar stance from Australia. This development comes amid ongoing investigations into Prince Andrew's alleged misconduct related to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, which has already led to his loss of royal titles and a temporary arrest. New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon stated that his government would agree to any proposal from London to exclude Andrew, emphasizing that "no one is above the law." Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese strongly criticized Andrew, calling the prospect of him becoming head of state "unacceptable" and expressing disgust over the accusations and recent events. Both Australia and New Zealand are among the 15 Commonwealth states whose agreement is required for such a change in succession law.
