Digital Health in the UAE: An Integrated Ecosystem Enhancing Care Quality and Service Efficiency 04.07.2026

The UAE's leadership in the field of digital health is being consolidated, supported by advanced infrastructure, smart technologies, and a national health data exchange ecosystem aimed at improving the quality of care and accelerating access to treatment. This ecosystem relies on modern technologies across all stages of care delivery, from online appointment booking and teleconsultations to the use of artificial intelligence in diagnosis and clinical decision support. The UAE has launched the 'Riayati' platform, the unified national medical record, to enable the secure exchange of data between facilities, alongside local systems such as 'Wareed' at the Emirates Health Services, 'Malaffi' in Abu Dhabi, and 'Nabidh' in Dubai, which interconnect with 'Riayati' to create an integrated network of electronic health records. By 2026, digital health will be an integrated ecosystem encompassing electronic data linking, unified records, artificial intelligence, and telemedicine, supported by the integration of these platforms in alignment with the objectives of the 'We the UAE 2031' vision.
