Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla has apologized for raising his voice at Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano during the arrest of Senator Jinggoy Estrada within the Senate premises on Monday. Remulla stated that he only raised his voice once and maintained a professional demeanor throughout the incident, which involved the execution of an arrest warrant for Estrada on P573-million plunder and graft charges. Senator Rodante Marcoleta had expressed disappointment over the perceived disrespect shown to Cayetano. However, Senator Panfilo Lacson countered Marcoleta's sentiment, expressing gratitude that Remulla did not physically confront Cayetano, and Senator Risa Hontiveros acknowledged the validity of all emotions arising from the event.
