On Saturday, approximately 3200 participants gathered in Lyon for a march honoring Quentin Deranque, a young nationalist militant who was beaten to death on February 12th. The demonstration, which proceeded from Place Jean-Jaurès to Rue Victor Lagrange, was heavily policed due to fears of clashes between far-right and far-left groups. Organizers estimated attendance at 3500. During the march, slogans targeting Jean-Luc Mélenchon and the far-left were chanted, and an individual was arrested for carrying a knife and hammer at the rear of the procession. The event concluded with the dispersal of the crowd, and authorities maintained a strong police presence throughout the evening.
