Disgraced police sergeant Glen Carabott granted bail over alleged home robbery 03.06.2026

Disgraced police sergeant Glen Carabott, 46, was granted bail on Tuesday in connection with an alleged home robbery in Żejtun. Carabott is accused of driving two individuals to an 80-year-old man's residence, where they allegedly stole two weapons. Prosecutors also charged him with illegal weapon possession, offenses committed while acting as a public official, and breaching prior bail conditions. This case follows a 2021 charge of raping a burglary victim, for which Carabott, a former 18-year police veteran, was initially denied bail. His recent bail was granted by Magistrate Caroline Farrugia Frendo, requiring a €4,000 deposit, a €30,000 personal guarantee, a daily curfew, and daily signing of a bail book.
