Dänemark offenbar nicht informiert Trump will Lazarettschiff nach Grönland schicken 22.02.2026

U.S. President Donald Trump announced via Truth Social his intention to send a hospital ship to Greenland, claiming it would assist in healthcare for those unable to receive aid there, a statement unsupported by evidence. Greenland, with approximately 57,000 residents, has a free healthcare system and multiple hospitals, including a 130-bed facility in Nuuk. Danish officials, including Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, stated they were not informed of this plan and affirmed that Greenlanders receive adequate medical care domestically and can seek treatment in Denmark if needed, deeming no special measures necessary. This announcement follows previous U.S. threats of annexation and comes amid ongoing discussions between the U.S., Denmark, and Greenland regarding the island's future.
