Dollar drops by nearly 15 tenge since the start of the week in Kazakhstan 03.07.2026

In May 2026, inflation in Kazakhstan accelerated to 10.4% annually, while monthly prices rose by 0.7%, according to data from the Bureau of National Statistics. The highest monthly increase was seen in paid services at 1.1%, followed by non-food goods at 0.6% and food products at 0.4%. Among food items, prices for seasonal vegetables declined significantly: cucumbers dropped by 25.4%, tomatoes by 25.1%, and bell peppers by 8.3%. Prices also decreased for garlic, tangerines, beets, sunflower oil, and canned corn. At the same time, price increases continued for mutton (4.7%), beef liver and sprats (3.3%), as well as apples, sausages, milk, eggs, and kefir.
