Donald Trump veut faire passer ses droits de douane de 10 % à 15 % 21.02.2026

Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he will increase global tariffs from 10% to 15% "with immediate effect," following a significant setback from the Supreme Court on Friday, which deemed a substantial portion of his trade policy illegal. Trump stated this decision was based on an "in-depth review" of the Supreme Court's ruling, which he described as "ridiculous" and "extraordinarily anti-American." This new tariff, initially set to take effect on February 24th for 150 days with exemptions for sectors like pharmaceuticals and goods under the USMCA, applies to countries and blocs with trade agreements with Washington, including the European Union, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz asserted that trade policy is an EU competence, not individual member states.
