The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued multiple weather warnings across Bavaria, indicating an unsettled start to the week. Southern and eastern regions are under an orange alert, while the rest of Bavaria faces a yellow warning. Specifically, southern areas like Oberallgäu, Ostallgäu, Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Miesbach, and Berchtesgadener Land are experiencing a double warning for storm gusts until Tuesday, February 25th, at 6 AM, and for thaws until Monday, February 24th, at 12 PM. Similar warnings apply to eastern Bavaria, including Freyung-Grafenau, Deggendorf, and Cham. The northeast and northwest are warned of thaws and wind gusts. Heavy rainfall, potentially up to 50 liters per square meter in many areas and 70 liters in the Bayerwald, is expected to cause flooding of fields and meadows, with some areas already reaching warning level three.
