E-Auto-Hersteller verkauft im Januar nur ein einziges Auto in Deutschland 23.02.2026

Despite a growing electric vehicle market in Germany, Chinese manufacturer Nio experienced a significant downturn in January 2026, registering only one new electric car registration. This contrasts sharply with Nio's global performance, which saw 27,182 vehicle deliveries in January and its first operational profit in Q4 2025. In Germany, Nio's new registrations fell by approximately 18 percent in 2025 to 325 vehicles. Other Chinese competitors like BYD and Polestar have seen substantial growth in the German market. Nio's struggles are attributed to an outdated model offering, slow rollout of its battery swap stations, and significant financial losses in Germany, though its European parent company has provided substantial financial backing to ensure its solvency.
