French energy giant EDF reported profitability for 2025, though its financial performance declined compared to the previous year. The company's revenue slightly decreased to 113.3 billion euros, and its operational performance, measured by EBITDA, fell by 19% to 29.3 billion euros. Net profit also saw a reduction, reaching 8.4 billion euros in 2025, down from 11.4 billion in 2024. Despite overall profitability, EDF continues to incur significant losses on its Hinkley Point C nuclear project in the UK, which is projected to cost an additional 2.5 billion euros in losses for 2025, adding to the 13 billion euros recorded in 2023 and 2024.
