The United Kingdom’s relationship with Egypt is currently robust and expanding, according to UK Ambassador Mark Bryson-Richardson. The recent visit by Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper and the third meeting of the Egypt-UK Partnership Council underscore the momentum. These discussions focused on economic growth, trade, investment, and security, reflecting the comprehensive nature of the planned strategic partnership agreement, which will cover a broad spectrum of cooperation. The UK has been one of Egypt’s largest investors over the past five years, citing a favorable investment climate and strong human capital. More than 1,500 British companies, potentially nearing 2,000, operate across diverse sectors in Egypt.
