Ein Spektakel: So ist die neue Show am Friedrichstadt-Palast 20.02.2026

The Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin celebrated the premiere of its new revue, "Blinded by delight," on Wednesday evening, a spectacle featuring over 500 costumes designed by US designer Jeremy Scott, formerly of Moschino. With a budget of 15 million euros, it is the theater's most expensive show to date. The more than two-hour production blends vibrant costumes, acrobatics, and dance, with a narrative centered on a woman in a dream world, though the plot serves primarily as a backdrop for elaborate performances. The show's artistic director, Berndt Schmidt, emphasized the importance of dreaming as a means of survival and a reminder of shared humanity, highlighting the diverse international cast of 400 employees from 40 countries. Notable attendees included Heidi Klum, Kai Wegner, and Jean Paul Gaultier.
