En Belgique, l’activisme propalestinien en procès 20.02.2026

On Tuesday, February 17th, a Belgian court in Audenarde heard the case of seven young activists facing charges for damages incurred at OIP Sensor Systems, an arms company. Approximately fifty supporters, many wearing keffiyehs, filled the courtroom, while around 200 more demonstrated outside with Palestinian flags. The company, acquired by Israeli firm Elbit Systems in 2003, which supplies drones and equipment to the Israeli army, is seeking €65,000 in damages. The activists had participated in an occupation of the company's headquarters on March 4th, 2024, to protest Elbit's involvement in the Gaza war. OIP Sensor Systems, founded in 1919, produces firing guidance systems, night vision devices, and infrared cameras.
