Despite the water still present, with some homes experiencing up to 55 cm of inundation, inhabitants like Camille Douchy, whose salon saw water rise to that level, have begun the arduous task of cleaning. Cheffes, located north of Angers and part of the Basses Vallées Angevines, is among the most severely affected areas in Maine-et-Loire, with three-quarters of its homes in flood zones. In some streets, water levels exceeded one meter, necessitating power outages and constant patrols by emergency services.
