On Saturday, February 21st, approximately 3,000 people gathered in the Pissevin neighborhood of Nîmes to pay their final respects to Salah-Eddine, an 8-year-old boy tragically killed on Tuesday morning. Salah-Eddine was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while on his way to school. The white march, organized in his honor, saw his grieving family, including his 3-year-old brother Haytem, lead the procession. The crowd, composed of residents, educators, and community members, expressed their sorrow through prayers, a minute of silence at the site of the accident on Avenue des Arts, and heartfelt tributes to the young boy, remembered for his kindness and passion for football. A final tribute is scheduled for Tuesday at the Zup Sud Mosque before his body is transferred to Morocco for burial.
