Apple doubles storage on its entry-level iPhone without raising the price 3d ago

Apple is launching the iPhone 17e, a strategic entry-level model aimed at countering Asian competition, retaining a proven 6.1-inch design with a notch and a reinforced aluminum and Ceramic Shield 2 chassis. This new smartphone doubles its storage to 256GB while keeping its price at 719 euros, the same as the iPhone 16e. It integrates the A19 chip for increased performance, particularly for artificial intelligence, and the twice-as-fast C1X modem. For the first time on an entry-level model, MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W is available, in addition to fast USB-C wired charging. The device retains a single 48-megapixel rear camera sensor and a 12-megapixel front sensor, and will be available in black, white, and pastel pink starting March 11.
