Apple reveals the $599 iPhone 17e with the A19 chip, MagSafe and double the starting storage 3d ago

Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17e, priced at $599, featuring the new A19 processor and MagSafe compatibility, addressing a key omission from its predecessor. Pre-orders for the device begin on March 4, with shipments starting March 11. This latest "budget" model retains the 6.1-inch display but upgrades to Ceramic Shield 2 for enhanced scratch resistance. Storage options now start at 256GB, doubling the previous base storage and matching the standard iPhone 17, though the 17e's A19 chip has a 4-core GPU compared to the 17's 5-core GPU. A new soft pink color option is also available, making the iPhone 17e feel less like a compromise with the addition of MagSafe accessories.
