Chinese embassy urges nationals to evacuate Iran via five exit routes 11d ago

The Chinese Embassy in Iran has advised its citizens to evacuate the country via five designated exit routes due to evolving security conditions. Ordinary passport holders can enter Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Türkiye visa-free, provided their passports are valid for at least six months. Entry into Iraq requires a pre-obtained electronic visa, typically processed within half a day. Evacuation through Turkmenistan necessitates prior visa approval from Turkmen authorities, requiring applicants to contact the Chinese Embassy in Iran with passport and onward travel documentation. Upon authorization, evacuees will be collectively transported to Ashgabat International Airport and must depart Turkmenistan promptly. The embassy also urged independent evacuees to plan routes carefully and stay informed about security, advising them to contact Chinese diplomatic missions in Iran for assistance if difficulties arise.
