Chocolate 3D printer startup Cocoa Press levels up with former Prusa executive 5d ago

Cocoa Press, a startup founded in 2023 that developed the first consumer 3D printer for extruding edible chocolate without a refrigerated chamber, has appointed David Randolph as its new CEO. Randolph, formerly of Printed Solid, the American manufacturing arm of Prusa Research, brings a decade of experience in scaling 3D printing businesses. He will oversee both Cocoa Press and its sister company, Print Kits, a subscription service for 3D printing projects, with the goal of expanding them into mainstream products. Founder Ellie Rose will continue as CTO, focusing on new product development. Randolph's appointment signifies a strategic move to leverage his expertise in domestic manufacturing and customer-focused leadership to bring 3D chocolate printing to wider markets, including kitchens, educational institutions, and makerspaces.
