This closure is attributed to licensing issues arising from the imminent change in ownership. US brewer Tilray Brands is reportedly nearing a deal to acquire parts of BrewDog, following the withdrawal of Scottish businessman James Watt from the bidding. BrewDog, which employs 1400 people and achieved £357 million in sales in 2024, has previously engaged in crowdfunding initiatives.
