Liquidators bid to have Vashi jewellery boss made bankrupt 10.02.2026

Liquidators for the collapsed luxury diamond jeweller Vashi are seeking to have its founder, Vashi Dominguez, declared bankrupt. Insolvency practitioners Teneo, who have been liquidating the company since April 2023, have served a statutory demand on Mr. Dominguez for the repayment of just over £17,500. This action is expected to lead to a bankruptcy petition against him, nearly three years after Vashi collapsed under mysterious circumstances. The company, which had prestigious London addresses, attracted investment from prominent figures like Lord Spencer and John Caudwell, who were allegedly assured their investments were secured by diamonds purportedly worth over £150m, though the inventory was later valued at only £100,000.
