Many concerned by global unrest but "suspicious calm" around Armenia — Pashinyan 11d ago

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed concerns regarding global unrest and a perceived "suspicious calm" surrounding Armenia, stating that the nation is now equipped to withstand geopolitical shocks. Speaking at an event honoring Diplomat's Day, Pashinyan emphasized the critical role of the diplomatic service in safeguarding Armenia's hard-won achievements, including its economic progress which has surpassed expectations. He acknowledged the public's understandable apprehension about the current unusual stability, stressing that this peace is not guaranteed and necessitates ongoing, diligent work, particularly from diplomats. Pashinyan expressed confidence in Armenia's diplomatic capabilities to maintain and advance national accomplishments, cautioning that stagnation leads to a loss of significance and highlighting the importance of education for a broader perspective.
