Romanian Foreign Affairs Minister Oana Toiu stated on Monday that the ministry has no information regarding injured Romanian citizens amidst the escalating Middle East crisis. She confirmed that authorities are coordinating efforts to assist Romanian citizens in the region and will launch a dedicated WhatsApp channel for those in the Middle East. Toiu also announced that two flights would bring stranded Romanians home on Monday, emphasizing that citizen safety is the top priority. The minister previously assured on Sunday evening that all Romanian citizens in affected areas are safe and that Romania itself is not in danger or targeted by any state involved in the conflict. Approximately 1,000 Romanian citizens have contacted diplomatic missions for assistance.
