Prosecutors move to confiscate properties of ex-minister 4d ago

The Prosecutor’s Office in Armenia has initiated legal proceedings to confiscate a substantial amount of property and financial assets from Levon Mkrtchyan, the former Minister of Education and Science. The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office, which alleges that these assets are of illicit origin. The requested confiscation includes 26 immovable properties, 7 vehicles, 5 participations in legal entities, and significant sums of money totaling 893,449,000 drams in remaining illicit funds and 276,106,000 drams in unjustified or unidentifiable funds. These assets are sought to be transferred to the Republic of Armenia.
