The Samsung Wallet can now hold your house keys 4d ago

Samsung has introduced the Digital Home Key feature within its Samsung Wallet, enabling users to unlock compatible smart doors using their smartphones, extending the functionality beyond digital car keys. This new feature, developed in collaboration with partners and adhering to the Aliro standard from the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), aims to provide enhanced security and convenience for Samsung Galaxy users. The Digital Home Key requires biometric authentication or a PIN for access and can be remotely managed or removed via Samsung Find if a phone is lost. Support from smart lock brands like Nuki and Schlage is confirmed, with the feature designed to meet EAL6+ security certification. Samsung is initiating a phased rollout in select regions this month, with plans for broader expansion as more compatible smart locks become available globally.
