Erneut eskaliert Ticketkontrolle – Mann verletzt Polizist mit Kopfstoß 20.02.2026

In Chemnitz Hauptbahnhof on Thursday, a 36-year-old Turkish citizen, reportedly agitated by a ticket check, threatened a train conductor by mimicking a gun and later assaulted federal police officers. After being denied boarding a regional train due to previous offenses of traveling without a ticket, the man was taken to a police station, where he spat at officers and injured one with a headbutt, causing facial contusions. This incident follows a fatal attack on a train conductor near Kaiserslautern two weeks prior, where a passenger allegedly struck the conductor multiple times during a ticket dispute, leading to widespread calls for increased security measures in public transport, including the planned voluntary equipping of customer-facing railway staff with bodycams.
