Etihad Rail's inaugural trip sells out: 5,000 passengers book within two days of ticket launch 25.06.2026

Etihad Rail has reported overwhelming demand for its new passenger train service, with 5,000 tickets booked within 48 hours of reservations opening on 23 June 2026. All three scheduled journeys on the inaugural Abu Dhabi–Fujairah route, departing 30 June, sold out completely. Each train accommodates up to 400 passengers and travels at speeds of up to 200 km/h. The network includes 11 stations across the UAE, such as Mohammed Bin Zayed City Station in Abu Dhabi, Al Yalayis Station in Dubai, University City Station in Sharjah, and Fujairah Station, among others.
