The EU has disbursed the initial 3 billion-euro ($3.4 billion) installment of a 90 billion-euro ($101 billion) loan to Ukraine, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced at a Warsaw conference on Ukraine’s post-war recovery. The event, attended by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, aims to demonstrate sustained Western commitment to Ukraine’s defense and rebuilding. Svyrydenko stated, “We are forced to innovate to survive and this has become our superpower,” thanking supporters for their pledges.
