Reinhold Wosab, a prominent former Bundesliga player for Borussia Dortmund, has passed away at the age of 87. Wosab, born in 1938, joined BVB in 1962 and quickly established himself as a top right winger. He was instrumental in the club's successes in the 1960s, including winning the German championship in his debut season, the DFB-Pokal in 1965, and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1966. Wosab is also remembered for initiating the first-ever goal in Bundesliga history on August 24, 1963, with a pass to Lothar Emmerich, who then assisted Timo Konietzka. After his playing career, he contributed to BVB's promotion in 1976 as a team manager and later gained recognition as a producer of football trophies, including the World Player of the Year award.
