Skylar Thompson, 31, a former deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, was charged with one count of official misconduct as a Level 6 felony and a misdemeanor count of fraud. Prosecutors allege that between December 31, 2025, and August 2, Thompson used the Flock camera system to conduct more than 2,000 searches for his girlfriend's license plate. The abuse was discovered during an internal audit, after which Thompson resigned and admitted his actions to his girlfriend.
