A tragic accident occurred at an inert materials quarry near the village of Lozen, Pazardzhik, resulting in the death of an excavator operator. Miroslav Stoyanov, spokesperson for the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Pazardzhik, reported that the man drowned on July 2 during his regular work shift. The deceased was operating a specialized sand mining machine when the excavator unexpectedly sank into the quarry's reservoir.
