Excellent Noodles’ Tugawin wins Stage Eight of MPTC Tour of Luzon 07.05.2026

Ryan Tugawin, a 36-year-old rider for Excellent Noodles, secured victory in Stage 8 of the MPTC Tour of Luzon on Thursday, a 148.4-kilometer route from Pagudpud to Paoay, Ilocos Norte. Tugawin, who previously worked as a farmer, outpaced four other cyclists in a sprint finish, crossing the line with a time of 3 hours, 16 minutes, and 58 seconds. This win marks Tugawin's third career stage victory, following triumphs in Thailand and a previous Tour of Luzon edition. Meanwhile, Russian rider Nikita Shulchenko of LCW UAE maintained his overall individual lead, wearing the yellow jersey for the sixth consecutive stage, with Syrian teammate Ibrahiem Alrefai and Mervin Corpuz of 7-Eleven Roadbike Philippines trailing.
