At the Star Education Fair 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, experts emphasized the critical need for students to acquire the right skills for long-term career adaptability. Sharadham Sapie from Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) highlighted that aligning studies with personal interests and strengths is crucial for academic and professional success, noting UniKL's 97.5% graduate employability rate. He stressed the importance of universities balancing immediate job-readiness with skills that ensure graduates remain relevant in a dynamic job market. Dr. Chang Choong Yew of Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) underscored the essential role of artificial intelligence (AI) knowledge and experiential learning, such as design studios for architecture students, in preparing graduates for future employment challenges. The fair, organized by Star Media Group, features 65 exhibitors offering diverse local and international study options, TVET programs, and financial aid.
