President of the Republic Zoran Milanović held an extraordinary press conference in which he resolutely defended the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, Tihomir Kundid. The occasion was a dispute regarding the participation of Croatian soldiers in a military parade in Paris, where Prime Minister Andrej Plenković assessed that Kundid had erred by following the President's instructions. Milanović emphasized that Kundid had "acted strictly according to the law" and that the only civilian authorized to issue military orders is the President of the Republic, citing the Act on Service in the Armed Forces.
