Dean DelleChiaie, a 35-year-old Federal Aviation Administration employee from Nashua, New Hampshire, was arrested on May 4, 2026, for allegedly threatening President Donald Trump. Prosecutors state he used his government computer to search for information on previous assassination attempts against Trump, methods to smuggle a gun into a federal facility, and the percentage of the population desiring the president's death. He admitted to owning three firearms, including a handgun stored at home. On April 21, 2026, DelleChiaie allegedly sent a threatening email from his personal account to the White House, stating his intent to "neutralize/kill" Trump, citing beliefs that Trump "decided to kill kids" and committed terrorism. The Secret Service confronted him in February 2026 about the searches. Charged with communicating an interstate threat, he faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
