Famed American neurosurgeon Saleem Abdulrauf is participating for the fourth consecutive year in the Asklepios International Congress held in Sibiu from May 7-9. He is conducting practical workshops to train over 600 students and resident doctors from various Romanian university centers and international participants. Professor Vicentiu Saceleanu, chief of Neurosurgery at Sibiu County Emergency Hospital, highlighted the congress's focus on practical skills, stating that Abdulrauf's involvement is crucial for students to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world application. Discussions are underway to further internationalize the congress next year, with expected participation from German teams. Saceleanu has also joined Abdulrauf's international neurosurgery team, signifying a growing collaboration.
