Alanis Morissette, a fellow Canadian, has been announced as a new headline act for the inaugural State Fayre music festival, replacing Neil Young who withdrew from the event. The festival is scheduled to take place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford from June 26-28, 2026. Morissette, known for hits like "You Oughta Know," will headline the Saturday night performances. This change comes after the 80-year-old Neil Young cancelled his entire 2026 European tour, citing a need to "take a break." Other headliners for the festival include Kings of Leon on Friday and The Lumineers on Sunday, with a diverse lineup across three stages featuring artists such as Jack Savoretti and Elvis Costello.
