Individuals affected will be notified by the Directorate General of Public Finances (DGFIP) and are advised to monitor their bank statements for suspicious debits, change sensitive passwords, enable two-factor authentication, and be wary of phishing attempts. While the Ficoba does not allow for account balance checks or financial operations, the compromised data increases the risk of fraudulent direct debits and impersonation scams.
