Fichier bancaire piraté : que faire si on est concerné par un prélèvement frauduleux et comment s’en protéger ? 21.02.2026

On February 18, 2026, the French Ministry of Economy announced that a malicious actor had accessed data from 1.2 million bank accounts via a fraudulent consultation of the Ficoba, the national file of bank accounts. This breach, which began in late January, occurred due to the usurpation of an authorized agent's credentials, compromising sensitive information such as RIBs and personal data. Individuals affected will be notified by the Directorate General of Public Finances (DGFIP) and are advised to monitor their bank statements for suspicious debits, change sensitive passwords, enable two-factor authentication, and be wary of phishing attempts. While the Ficoba does not allow for account balance checks or financial operations, the compromised data increases the risk of fraudulent direct debits and impersonation scams.
