The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) has confirmed that its annual two-week maintenance shutdown is in its final stages, with the cableway expected to resume operations on Monday, August 10. The shutdown, which began on July 27, transformed the attraction into a controlled engineering site where critical systems were inspected, tested, and maintained. Technical Executive Manager Andries de Vries explained that while routine maintenance occurs year-round, the annual closure provides uninterrupted access for extensive work that cannot be performed while visitors are present.
