A serious forest fire broke out on Thursday in La Bisbal d’Empordà (Girona), affecting the Les Gavarres forest massif. The blaze, which started shortly after 9:15 a.m. near the GI-660 highway, has already scorched approximately 250 hectares, according to the preliminary assessment by the Agents Rurals. Authorities are investigating whether the origin of the fire is linked to mechanical work carried out on the road.
