PRIME Tender battles rage as firms contest Sh107bn State deals 06.08.2026

The value of disputed public procurement contracts in Kenya has reached Sh107.45 billion for the year ending June 2025, according to the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA). This represents nearly half (49.4 percent) of the Sh217.45 billion in total contract awards reported by 411 procuring entities. The Public Procurement Administrative Review Board, a quasi-judicial body, handled 161 cases during this period, with State corporations accounting for the largest share of awarded tenders at Sh179.65 billion.
