Firms told to tap global platforms to boost linkages 07.05.2026

Tanzanian companies are encouraged to leverage international platforms, such as the French-Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce, to enhance global business linkages and acquire new knowledge, as advocated by Precision Air CEO Patrick Mwanri. This call to action, made during France Alumni Day, emphasizes the importance of applying acquired expertise to foster impactful collaborations and strengthen bilateral ties. Mwanri highlighted how specialized training in France has significantly bolstered Tanzania's aviation sector, citing Precision Air's investment in sending staff, including pilots and engineers, for advanced aerospace management and recurrent training, often involving French-manufactured ATR aircraft. France's Ambassador to Tanzania, Anne-Sophie Avé, noted that the France Alumni network, which connects over 640,000 members globally, offers professional and academic opportunities, positioning France as a top destination for international students, with a current tally of just over 100 registered alumni in Tanzania.
