A passenger Force Micro bus has crashed and plunged into the Karnali River on the Dailekh section of the Karnali Highway. The accident occurred at approximately 11:30 AM at Sangetada, Chamundabindrasaini Municipality-7, Dailekh, and the vehicle is estimated to have plunged 400 meters down into the river. Rescue efforts are facing difficulties due to the high water flow and the fact that the vehicle is submerged and not visible. Police, Armed Police Force, and personnel from the Upper Karnali Hydropower Project have been deployed for the rescue operation. One male passenger has been rescued after being found stuck on a cliff. While it is reported that five people were on board the vehicle, which departed from Surkhet at 8:00 AM, the exact number has not yet been confirmed.
