Renee Lambert, a 34-year-old Florida mother, was arrested on May 2, 2026, following an incident at a youth football game in Fort Myers. Police alleged she charged onto the field at Brooks Park during a Southwest Florida Panthers Youth Football game and repeatedly kicked a 13-year-old player from the opposing team who was on the ground. Lambert was charged with child abuse without great bodily harm and resisting an officer without violence. She claimed the child hit her first with his helmet, but the sheriff's office found no evidence supporting this. The victim reported being kicked in the leg but had no visible injuries, and his mother expressed a desire to prosecute. League officials and the sheriff condemned the violence, emphasizing zero tolerance for such behavior.
