Ford is recalling nearly 420,000 vehicles for a seat belt issue 03.06.2026

Ford is recalling nearly 420,000 vehicles, specifically certain 2018-2022 model year Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs, due to a seat belt issue. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that the seat belts may lock unexpectedly, preventing them from retracting or extending, which could lead to injury in a crash or if the belt retracts rapidly. This recall supersedes two prior recalls. Ford has received two warranty claims and two field reports concerning this issue, and is aware of one injury. Owners will be notified by mail and can have their front seat belt retractors inspected and replaced for free at Ford or Lincoln dealerships.
