Former Coatue partner raises huge $65M seed for enterprise AI agent startup 30.03.2026

Sycamore, an enterprise AI agent orchestration startup, has secured a substantial $65 million seed funding round led by Coatue and Lightspeed, with significant backing from prominent angels including former OpenAI chief scientist Bob McGrew and Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan. Founded by Sri Viswanath, a former Coatue investor with over 20 years of enterprise platform building experience at companies like Sun Microsystems and Atlassian, Sycamore aims to provide a comprehensive solution for building, securing, and orchestrating AI agents. Unlike many competitors, Sycamore's product is designed to start with a problem and build the optimal solution from scratch, rather than layering agents onto existing workflows. The company has already achieved traction with unnamed enterprise clients, despite entering a highly competitive market populated by numerous startups and major players like OpenAI and cloud providers.
