In a recent interview with ENA, former Tigray Chief Administrator Gebru Asrat leveled serious accusations against the banned Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF), alleging the group breached the Pretoria Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (CoHA) from the moment it was signed in November 2022. Gebru, a veteran Ethiopian politician and former senior TPLF leader, described the group as a "Trojan horse" for anti-Ethiopian forces, claiming it has served the interests of external actors, including the Eritrean regime, to destabilize Ethiopia. He stated that hardliners within the TPLF rejected key provisions of the accord immediately after its signing, leading to actions that contradicted both its letter and spirit.
