Four suspects in foiled BofA Paris bombing put in pre-trial detention 02.04.2026

Four individuals, including one adult and three minors aged 16 and 17, have been placed in pre-trial detention in Paris as part of an investigation into a foiled bomb attack targeting the Bank of America's Paris office on March 28. Authorities suspect a link to the pro-Iranian group HAYI, which had previously named the bank's headquarters in a social media video. The explosive device, described as the most powerful of its kind found in France, could have caused significant damage. The suspects are formally investigated for manufacturing, transporting, and handling an explosive device as part of a terrorist organization, though they deny terrorist intent. The adult allegedly recruited the minors via social media, paying them between 500 and 1,000 euros to plant and film the device.
